The rainforest is filled with over a thousand teak, mahogany, eucoliptus, and many of other trees, plants and fauna. In the old days, Pirates were known to hide out in the lagoon, to deter the English and Spanish from getting their treasure home. There are several hikes to choose from. All of them take between 45 minutes to an hour and the level of difficulty is easy to medium. The Zen Rocks tour takeds you across the forest to a slope where megalithic basaltic rocks lay buried like rock balconies that face large trees and where the roaring waves invite you to relax.
The Miradores Trail takes you to the highest elevations on the island. Providing magnificent views of the Gulf, Punta Mala and the nearby islands
The Old Loop Trail is a shorter walk that takes you into the forest and along and old saw mill trail. It also goes to the Sepulquito vantage point where astonishing views of the ocean and islands are found. The return is through a trail that borders he slopes of Lanza beach and lead you straight back to the beach.
Playa Icacos Trails takes you along the mail trail connecting both beaches, there is a waterfall on the beach and at low tide you can also explore the tidepools on the rocks. This tour is tide conditions.
